Harold Tuffnell first started in business in 1914 with a horse, a cart
and a few customers scattered across South Yorkshire |
'Tuffnells of Sheffield', as we were then known, was a company that wanted the job done properly.
Harold had a passion for his work and his customers, and worked hard to build the business around the provision of a quality personal service. Word soon began to spread that Tuffnells was a company that never forgot who paid the bills - the customer. Before long, the company was expanding, first across local county boundaries and then nationwide, building the market presence it is today.
We currently employ 1,700 people in the UK and Ireland, and are a key player in the UK and European express parcels market. |
