ePOD LAUNCH
2010 saw Tuffnells Parcels Express invest heavily in new mobile technology for its drivers. The ePOD system (electronic Proof of Delivery) was introduced to improve service and delivery efficiency for Tuffnells’ customers whilst enhancing the depots performance.

The ePOD is a hand-held device which customers sign to accept delivery or collection of goods. This real-time data is then uploaded on to Tuffnells website for customers to view in less than one minute of the event taking place.

Following the successful trial throughout July, the ePOD system was quickly rolled-out into the network and is now an integral part of Tuffnells routine.

In terms of scale this project represents one of the largest and quickest roll-outs of bespoke mobile technology to date and lifts Tuffnells into another new era.
