Tuffnells Parcels Express, one of the UK’s leading B2B carrier of mixed and irregular freight has celebrated the official opening of their new UK head office as part of their goal to become a great place to work.
The opening of the newly designed office in Meadowhall Business Park has been met with great satisfaction from the 90+ employees based at the head office, many of who have been working with Tuffnells for over 30 years.
The move from the previous head office at Shepcote lane to the new office within the popular retail park means that employees are able to take time to enjoy their lunch amongst the many local amenities including shops and multiple places to eat. With on-site showers, a large canteen and the provision of on site catering, the new office environment has been designed with employee wellbeing in mind.
The ample office space is also designed as a place that encourages collaborative working, with 8 meeting rooms and breakout areas, hot-desking facilities and the latest video conferencing tools.
James Church, Group Property & Facilities Manager who led the project said of the new premises
“The official opening of our new head office was a proud moment for all colleagues at Tuffnells Parcels Express. With over 50 years in the previous building on Shepcote road, this is a real Sheffield business. The new move brings the business bang up to date and offers an exciting, inviting work environment. The aim has been to create a place where people look forward to working and I think we have the perfect office space to make a cohesive, happy working environment.”
Elaine Keep, Marketing Manager adds, “It was amazing to see the Tufnells’ iconic brand there on the side of this stunning new building and we are all delighted to be working in the great new environment. People are already using the new space for meetings, to eat lunch together and there’s a great feeling about the place!”
